HuLU

Hungarian Language Understanding Benchmark Kit

HuLU (Hungarian Language Understanding Benchmark Kit) was created on the basis of the GLUE and SuperGLUE benchmark databases. The main purpose of HuLU is to enable a standardized evaluation of neural language models in a simple way while also enabling multi-perspective analysis. It also compares the performance of various LMs on various tasks and shares the results with LT professionals in tabular and graphical formats. Therefore, HuLU is made up of 2 main components:

(1) To date the benchmark dataset comprises 6 corpora containing annotation for various standard language comprehension tasks. As usual, these corpora are divided into train, dev and test sets.

(2) A webservice complements the database, which on the one hand, facilitates the fast and simple evaluation of the LMs on the given tasks, while on the other hand provides a surface for presenting the results.

We plan to add more corpora to the HuLU benchmark kit in the future. Our goal is to support research that aims to improve the general understanding of Hungarian language.
